OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID COURSE
First Aid and First Aid training falls under the legislation outlined in the General Application Regulations 2007.
This course is designed for personnel who wish to become certified first aiders in their workplace. There should be at least one qualified occupational first aider on site at any one time in every workplace. Our course can be run in one of our training locations or if preferred, can be run in house.
Our course includes
lesson 1 - Assessment, Accident Scene Management
lesson 2 - Circulation, Wounds and Bleeding
lesson 3 - Respiration, Asphyxia
lesson 4 - C.P.R (50% of this session to include student practice)
lesson 5 - Unconsciousness
lesson 6 - Fractures, Sprains, Strains and Dislocations
lesson 7 - Burns, Scalds, Chemical / Poisons, Electric Shock
lesson 8 - Medical Emergencies, Crush and Spinal Injuries
lesson 9 - Casualty Transportation
Revision and Examination
On completion of this course all attendees will be aware of First Aid facilities and arrangements, will provide the recognised Occupational First Aid systems in their workplace and implement essential life-saving skills where necessary.
